Helena Crellin
What were you doing before you joined the MRC-DTP?
I graduated from my integrated Masters degree in Biomedical Sciences, at the University of Manchester in 2018. I then worked as a Research Assistant at the Wellcome Centre for Cell Biology, at the University of Edinburgh, where I worked on the molecular mechanisms of neuronal morphogenesis.
Why did you choose to study at the University of Cambridge?
I was excited by the opportunity to be surrounded by a strong community of developmental biologists, as well as hearing from the interesting external speakers that come for seminars.
What do you enjoy most about your day-to-day work and the people you work with?
I love microscopy – getting to see things nobody else has seen before!
